AN ORDINANCE CREATING TWO ADDITIONAL
POSITIONS OF DETECTIVE SERGEANT IN THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT$ DEFINING
THE DUTIES THEREOF, FIXING THE SALARY
THEREFOR, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION L, Two additional positions of detective
sergeant are hereby created in the detective bureau of the
Police Department of the City of Little Rock,
SECTION 2. The persons to fill the positions created
by Section 1 of this ordinance shall be selected b -a the
Civil Service Commissio4 of the City of Little Rock in the
manner provided by law. Such persons so chosen shall possess
such qualifications as are set forth for such positions by
the Civil Service Corur_ission of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. The persons occupying such positions shall
be under the direction and control of the Chief of Detectives
and shall perform such duties as may be designated by him and
as are peg scribed by law and regulations for such employees.
SECTION 4. Such sergeant detectives shall receive the
salary of $208.14 per month to be paid from such funds and in
a like manner as are other employees of the Debective Bureau
of the Police Department of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 5. This ordinance is supplemental to Ordinance
No. 5362 in the creation of these two additional positions, but
all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance
are placed Into effect irdiately the public peace
