HomeMy WebLinkAbout7467ORDINANCE NO. 7467 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE DIRECTION OF CERTAIN ONE WAY STREETS, AMENDING ORDINANCES 596$, 6231, 6940, ANa FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDLINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 5968 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: From and after the passage and approval of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any vehicle to use Bridge Street from Scott Street to Louisiana Street while traveling east, and said Street shall be open only to traffic traveling west. SECTION 2. That Section 1 of Ordinanc4 6231 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: No drivet of a vehicle on the public streets of Little Rock shall make a left hand turn at any street intersection where an overhead traffic light is now, or may hereafter be installed and maintained, provided however, that this prohibition shall not apply to operators of vehicles-traveling on fixed tracks: SECTION 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance 6940 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: When signs are erected giving notice thereof; (1) Vehicular traffic on becond Street from Rector Street to Cross Street, inclusive, shall proceed in a west bound direct- ion only. (2) Vehicular traffic on 4th Street from Cross Street to.Hector Street, inclusive, shall proceed in an east bound direction only. (3) Vehicular traffic on 6th Street from Rector Street to Woodlane Street, inclusive, shall proceed in a west bound direction only. (4) Vehicular traffic on Scott Street from Bridge Street to 14th Street, inclusive, shall proceed in a north bound direct- ion only. (5) Vehicular traffic on Louisiana Street from 14th Street to Bridge Street, inclusive, shall proceed in a south bound direction only. r i 4 SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordi- nance are put into effect immediately the public peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affected, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordi- nance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
