AIIN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER !M?ROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 121 OF LITTLE ROCK, kRKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Parties claiming to be more than a two- thirds
majority in value as shown by the last county assessment of the
property located within the territory hereinafter described have
filed a petition praying that an improvement district be estab-
lished for the purpose hereafter set out;
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard
all parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition was signed by more than a two - thirds majority in
value, as shown by the last county assessment, of the owners
of real property situated within said territory;
NOW2 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an imDrove-
ment district embracing the following property in the City of
Little Rock:
Beginning at the point which is the
intersection of the south line of
Asher Avenue and the west line of
Johnson Street, and running south
along the west line of Johnson Street
836.6 feet to the'southeast corner of
Lot 71 Block 31 William Gallagherts
Addition to the City of Little Rock;
thence west along the south line of
said Lot 7 and along the south line of
Lot 8, Block 3, Supplement to William
Gallagherts Addition to the City of
Little Rock, a distance of three hundred
feet to the southwest corner of Lot 8 of
said Block 3; thence continuing west
along the same line extended a distance
of 340 feet to the east line of Brown
Street; thence north along the east
line of Brown Street 190 feet to the
south line of Asher Avenue; thence
northeasterly along the south line of
Asher Avenue to the point of beginning.
for the purpose of constructing a system of sewers for the use
of the inhabitants of said district, to make such changes in any
sewers in the district heretofore laid, as may be essential, and
to dispose of the sewage by connections with sewer mains hereto-
fore constructed within or beyond the limits of the district;
all to be located and constructed in the places and in the manner
and of the materials that the commissioners of the said district
shall deem for the best interests thereof.
Said District shall be known as Sewer Improvement
District No. 121 of Little Rock, Arkansas; and C. ivi. Copeland,
Henry Niemeyer, and J. 110. Kennamer, are hereby named Commissioners,
who shall compose the Board of Improvement for.said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
