ORDINANCE NO. 7"Z
AN ORDINANCE CREATING VARIOUS POSITIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER,
FIXING THE SALARIES THEREOF, ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF PERSONS HOLDING
VARIOUS POSITIONS IN THE STREET CLEANING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, DECLARING AN WIERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1, Beginning January 1, 1948, the following positions in the Office of
the City Engineer are hereby created, and the person occupying each such position
shall receive a monthly salary shown opposite said position:

SECTION 2. The persons who shall fill the above named positions shall be chosen
by the Civil Service Ccmmission in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 3. Beginning January 1, 1948, the persons filling the positions of
employment in the Street Cleaning Department of the City of Little Flock as set out
in this section shall receive as monthly salaries the amounts set opposite the
various positions as follows:

Sweeper Operators
Truck Drivers

SECTION. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately
the public peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely
affected, therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
