ORDINANCE NO. -1532 -�
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 5420 and the map re-
ferred to therein to re- classify Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 52 61 72 81 9, 10, 11,

and 12, Block 7, all in Dodge Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas-
and
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the City Planning
Commission of the City of Little Roc*, Arkansas, on the 15th day of January,
1948 requesting the re- classification of Lots 1, 2, 3, 42 5, 6, 71 83 91 10,
11, and 12, Block 7, all in Dodge Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas from "C" Two - family Residence district, as it is classified by
Ordinance 5420, to "k" Heavy Industrial District with waiver of all yard
space requirements, and:
WHEREAS, due notice by publication has been given as required
by law; The City Planning-Commission has considered the Petition and filed
its report and recommendations with the Council approving said re-classifica-
tion and the Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that said Petition should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.*
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 5420 of the Ordinances of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the zoning map referred to therein and any and
all pertinent amendments thereto are hereby amended to show that each of Lots
1, 2; 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 91 10$ 11, and 12, Block 7, all in Dodge Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which property is bounded on the south by
*St'15th Street, on the west
by Geyer Street, on the east by Dodge Street,
and on the north
by`East 14th Street, are hereby re -zoned and classified and
a
declared to be in "$" Heavy Industrial District and all yard space requirements
as to each of said lots are hereby waived. Each of said lots shall be here-
after known and classified as being in "S" Heavy Industrial District with no
Yard space requirement.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the owners of the property herein re-
classified are desirous of constructing a building and operating a business

that will, upon completion, provide much needed relief to other essential
businesses now located in the City of Little'Rock, Arkansas, as well as
employment for a number of residents. of 'the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
which relief and employment would be a bertyyyyiyyyy�►fittto the inhabitants bf the
WHEREAS, the immediate operation Hof the provisions of this
ordinance is necessary to provide such relief-and employment, the same being
necessary for the benefit of the public health, peace, and safety:., and
general welfare of the - citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance sha11 be in full force and effect immediately from and
after its passage.
