Aid.: ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF DODGE STREET, A PORTION
OF EAST .FOURTEENTH STREET', AND A- PORTION OF THE ALW IN BLOCS' SEVEN,
DODGE ADDITION, JN THE CITY Q$ I4TTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
WHEREAS, a Petition Was duly filed with the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 26th day of January, 19/+8 asking the City Council
to vacate and abandon all that portion of Dodge Street beginning at East 15th
Street and running to East 14th Street, and all that portion of East 14th Street
b6giiniag at the east line of Dodge Street and running to the right -of -way of
the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railway Company, and all that portion of
the alley in Block 71 Dodge Addition to the City of Little Rock, beginning at
East 15th Street and running to East 11+th Street all as designated on the plat
of Dodgp:Addition to said City, now appearing of record in Plat Book
at page 224 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, After due notices as required by law, the Council,at the time and
place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and'has.ateertained. that the streets and alleys hereinbefore described
have heretofore been dedicated.. to`the public use as streets and alleys, herein
described, and that they have not been actually used by the public generally as
streets and alleys for a period of five years; and that all the owners of the
property abutting upon the portion of the streets and alleys to be vacated have
filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that public
interest and welfare will not be adversely effected by the abandonment of such
streets and alleys.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby, releases, vacates, and
abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally in and
to the streeta.and allqv+ designated as follows:
A. Dodge" Street be xa.
� beginning at East 15th Street and,
14th Street.
B. East 14th Street beginning at the east line of Dodge Street and
running to the west line of the right-- of-way of the Chicago, Rock Island, and
Pacific Railway Company.

C. The alley in Block 71 Dodge Addition to the City of Little
Rock beginning at East 15th Street and running to East 11+th Street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinancie, duly certified by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the County and reeoF4 in the
Deed Records of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3• This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage.
