HomeMy WebLinkAbout7577ORDINANCE N0. 7577 AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN EMPLOYES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Effective the first day of April, 1949, the salary of each and every certified Civil Service Employe and every appointive Employe of the City of Little Rock shall be increased in the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per month; except that all G. I. trainee employes receiving part salaries from any Federal Agency shall not participate in the salary increase herein where the total of such salary now received by such G. I. trainee will not be inoreas- ed hereby. SECTION 2. Such salary increase shall be paid to the various employes falling within the category specified in Section 1 from the appropriate fund or funds and in a like manner as the present salaries of such employes are paid. SECTION 3. The terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be effective from tha first day of April, 1948 up to and including the 31st day of December, 1948. After the 31st day of December, 1948, the salaries of such employes falling within this category shall be in the same amount as they were immediately prior to the passage of this ordinance, and the salary increase shall be in no force and effect after the 31st day of December, 1949. SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flint herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace, health, and safety of the citizens of the City of Little Rock will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
