ORDINANCE NUMBER
AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE ALLEY RUNNING< EAST AND
NEST IN BLOCK ONE (1) OF RIFF EI+ AND HOLDER'S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHIIREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 19th day of April, 1948, asking the City Council
to vacate and abandon all of the alley in Block One (1) of Riffel and Holder's
Addition to the City of Little Rook, Arkansas,. beginning at the went lines of
Lots Three (3) and Fourteen (14)9 thence running east a distance of one hundred
forty -two and one -half (142 *) feet to the east lines of Lots One (1) and Sixteen
(16), in Block One (1) of Riffel and Holder's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, tM Council has, at the
time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard
on the question and has ascertained that the alley hereinabove described has
heretofore been dedicated to the Public use, and has not been used by the public
Seawall for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the
plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting the alley to be vacated
have filed with the Council a written consent to such abandonment; and that the
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
said alley.
NOW THEREFORS, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in
and to the alley designated as follows:
"All of the alley in Block One (1) of Riffel and Holder's
Addition to the City.of Little Rock, Arkansas, beginning
at the west lines of Lots Three (3) and Fourteen (14),
thence running east & distance of one hundred forty -two
and one -half (142*) feet to the east lines of Lots One
(1) and Sixteens (16) in Block One (1) in Riffel and Holder's
Addition to the City of Little Rook, Arkansas; the plat of
said Block and Addition appearing of record in Plat Book
l,at Page 239 in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Record-
er of Pulaski County. lb

SECTION 2e A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk,
dhall be filed in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the deed records of the county.
SECTION 3e This ordinanoe shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passages
