AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF P_TBLIC AFFAIRS TO
PURCHASE VARIOUS ITEMS FOR USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENTf DEC D.RING
AN MERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS%
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorised and
requested to purchase the following items for use in the public Works
Department and not to exceed $165.001
176 feet hot chain for conveyor, approximately $117.33
40 buckets for conveyor, approximately 40.00
SECTION 2. Because the equipment mentioned in Section 1 of this
ordinance is needed immediately for the preservation, maintenance anc
construction of the streets in the City of Little Rock, and because without
such equipment there is danger of city streets deteriorating to the detriment
of the citizens of Little Rock and their property, an emergency is declared
to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary for the preservation
of public peace, health and safety and shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
