AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK
ELEPEN (11) OF WORTEW AND BROIN AUDITION . TO THE CITY. OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WAS, a petition was duly filed with the Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas on the 7th day of Tune, 1948, asking the City Council to va-
cate and abandon all of the said portion of the alley being that part lying be-
tween Lots Three (3) and Fifteen (15) in Block Eleven (11) of Worthen and Brown
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has, at the time
and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and has ascertained that the portion of the alley, hereinabove described,
has heretofore been dedicated to the Public use, and has not been used by the pub-
lie generally for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the
plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the alley
to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment of such portion of the said alley.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally,
in and to the portion of the alley designated as follows:
All of that portion of the alley lying between Lots Three
(3) and Fifteen (15 ) in Block Eleven (11) of Worthen and
Brown. Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; the
plat of said block and addition appearing of record in
Book 28, Page 211, on file in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in
the deed records of the County.
SECTION 3. Thid %, ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
