AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN ALLEYS IN BLOCK 2,
COUNTRY CLUB HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER-PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 7th day of June,
1948, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon portions
of certain alleys in Block 2, Country Club Heights ,addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in Plat
Book 1 at pages 181 and 215 and in Plat Book 2 at page 164
in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, the pations
being vacated being described as follows:
1. That part of an alley running north and,south in
Block 20 Country Club Heights Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the north line of Parkway,
now called Club Road, approximately 140 feet east
of the intersection of the north line of Parkway,
now called Club Road, with the east line of Beech
Street; thence running north, parallel with Beech
Street; to the into action with the south line of
"S" Street; thenc 7 ong the south line of "S"
Street 10 feet; thence South, parallel with-Beech
Street, to the north line of Parkway, now called
Club Road; thence west to the point of beginning.
2. That part of an east and west alley in Block 2, Country
Club Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Beech St.,
approximately 130 feet north of the intersection
of the east line of Beech Street, with the north
line of Parkway, now called Club Road; thence east
parallel with the north line of Parkway, now called
Club Road, 140 feet more or less to a point on the
west line of an alley running north and south in
said block; thence nom 10 feet along the west side
of said north ans south alley ; thence west, parallel
with Parkway, now called Club Road, 140 feet more or
less to a point on the east line of Beech Street;
thence south 10 feet more or.less to.the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the
Council has, at the time and place meintioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question
and has ascertained that the portions of the alleys herein-
before described, have heretofore been dedicated to the
Public use as alleys herein described; have not been actually
used by the public generally for a

period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the
plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the
portions of the alleys to be vacated have filed with the Council
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public inter-
est and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment
of such alley.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of public generally, in and to those portions of the alleys
designated as follows:
1. That part of an alley running north and south in Block 2,
Country Club Heights Addititon to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north line of Parkway,
now called Club Road, approximately 140 feet east
of the intersection of the north line of Parkway,
now called Club Road, with the east line of Beech
Street; thence running north, parallel with Beech
Street, to the intersection with the south line of
"S" Street; thenS97�long the south line of "S"
Street 10 feet; thence South, parallel with Beech
Street, to the north line of Parkwayk now called
Club Road; thence west to the point of beginning.
2. That part of an east and west alley in Block 2, Country
Club Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Beech St.,
approximately 130 feet north of the intersection
of the east line of Beech Street, with the north
line of Parkway, now called Club Road; thence east
parallel with the north line of Parkway, now .called
Club Road, 140 feet more or less to a point on the
west line of an alley running north and south in
said block; thence north 10 feet along the west side
of said north and south alley; thence west, parallel
with Parkway, now called Club Road, 140 feet more or
less to a point on the east line of Beech Street;
thence south 10 feet more or less to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of the Ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas and recorded in the deed records of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
