ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE Ta VACATE AND ABANDON 2HAT PORTION OF DODGE STREET FROM
THE SOUTH LINE OF EAST 15TH STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF EAST 17TH
STREET- AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF EAST 16TH STREET FROM THE NORTH-
WEST C6RNER OF LOT VAN , BLOCK 15, DODGE ADDITION , EAST TO THE TRACKS
OF THE CHICANO , ROCK ISIAND AND PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the
City
of Little Ro@k , Arkansas on the 21
day of June,
194
asking the
City
Council to vacate and abandon Dodge
Street from
the
south line
of East 15th Street to the north lire of East 17#x Street, and that
portion of East 16th Street from the northwest corner of Lot NAN , Block
15 , Dodge Addition, East to the tracks of the Chicago, Rock Island and
Pacific Railroad Company; in the City of Little Rocks Ark. ns as ; and.,
WHEREAS; after due notice as required by law the Council has, at
the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portions of
said streets here inabove described have heretofore been dedicated to
the public uses and have not been used by the public generally for a
period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat;
that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portions of said
streets to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent
to such abandonment; and that the public int ere st and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the abandonment of such portions ct said streets;
NOW, THEREFCRE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 7HE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTICIN 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the following portions of the following
streets, to -wit;
Dodge Street from the south line of East 15th Street to the
north line of East 17th Street; ands
That portion of East 16th Street from the northwest corner ct
Lot NAN , Block 15, Dodge Addition, East to the tracks of the
Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the deed records of the County.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force fram
and after its passage.
