VIHEREAS , The Little Rock Municipal Swimming Pool located in the tivar Memorial Park has been under lease to the Little Rock Recreation Commission, an eleemosynary corporation, for the past nine (9) years, and said corporation has been paying to the City of Little Rock the sun: of p1.00 per year as a consideration for such lease, and V HEREAS , It is the desire of the City Council of the City of Little Rock that the control and operation of such municipal swi=1 ng pool be under the jurisdiction, supervision, and control of public officials of the City of Little Rock, and it being also the desire of said corporation to relinquish control of said municipal swimming pool to such public officials in order to comply with the wishes of the City Council, NOW ThEREF ORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION1 1. That Ordinance No. 5781 of the Ordinances of the City °+of Little Rock passed on the 7th day of August, 1939, be and the same is hereby repealed in its entirety, and by the mutual consent of the parties, the lease entered into pursuant to the terms and provisions of said ordinance is hereby abrogated, and hereafter such lease shall be null and void ana of no effect. SECTION 2. The Si_,perintendent of the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Little Rock is hereby, directed to immediate- ly assume the control, operation and management of the Little Rock Municipal Swimming Pool from the Little Rock Recreation Commission, an eleemosynary corporation, tolrether with all of the equipment, facil- ities, and improvements thereunto appertaining. 'she said superintend- ent shall make a complete and perfect inventory of these properties, sign a receipt for same, and release said corporation from any and all liabilities in connection with the operation of said swimming pool on behalf of the City. The City Collector is hereby authorized and directed to receive from said corporation all monies now on hand and to place same in the -2- general funa of the City of Little Rock, and to execute the official receipt of the City to said corporation for such funds. SECTIuN 3. The Little Rock I4unicipal Swirm_minF Pool from and after the passage of this Ordinance shall be operated as a municipal enterprise, and the superintendent of the Parks and Recreation De- partment is hereby directed to submit to the City Council within the next 60 days a list of job classifications necessary for the opera- tion and management of said swims. inr pool, to ether with a recommend- ation of the salaries to be paid for each job classification for ser- vices to be rendered. SECTTON 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and tliis ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
