On the 22nd day of December, 1948s the Board of Public Affairs
took bids for one Drag Line and one Bulldozer to facilitate
the trench and fill method of garbage disposal of the Garbage
and Sanitation Department of the City of Little Rock, and

The low bid upon such machinery was in the sum of X21,209.47
which exceeded the amount allotted for such machinery by Or-
dinance PTo. 7773 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock,

SECTION 1. That the action of the Board of Public
Affairs of the City of Little Rock taken on the 22nd day of
December, 1948, in the purchase of one Drag Line and one Bull-
dozer to be used by the Garbage and Sanitation Department of
the City of Little Rock to facilitate the trench and fill method
of garbage disposal is hereby ratified and affirmed in all re-
spects.
SECTIOTT 2. 'There is hereby appropriated from the
Garbage and Sanitation :Account of the General Fund the sum
of $21s209.47 to pay for said machinery.
SE171TO'`T 3. The proper city officials are hereby
directed to issue such instruments as may be necessary to the
Proper persons in oraer to pay for said machinery, upon re-
ceipt of same.

SECT-TOY 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless the pro-
visions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately,
the public peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little
Rock will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is
hereb;,, declared to exist ana this ordinance sh, :11 be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
