Pursuant to the franchise entered into b,r ..nd between the Cit +s of
Little Dock and the Capital Transportation Company concerninE the oper-
ation of a public trans-- ;ortation system,, in the City of Little Rock, it
is incumbent upon the Capital Transportation Corr: any to pave. or pave
over the track area of certain streets of the City of Little _?ock, and

SECTION 1. ^r.at the Yayor and City Clerk are hereby author -
-ized and directed to enter into a contract with the Capital Transportation
Corpany, or other suitable persons, firms, or corporations for the pave-
ment of the folloviin7 streets, other than the area. required to be paved
by the Capital Transportat -.on Company:
East 6th ",treet from Thomas to Townsend, inclusive.
"lest Capitol Street from Main to Victory, inclusive.
East 9th Street from Ruin to College, inclusive.
Vest r�arkham Street from T`ain to Victor�r, inclusive.
KavanauEh Blvd. frog, Beach to "L ", inclusive.
SECTION 2. The cost of such pavi nf- on the part of the City
shall not exceed the sun, of "55,000.00, an( it is the intention of the
City Council to cause to be paved froi-1 curb to curb the above mentioned
streets in the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 5. All ordinances an(., parts of ordi- nances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance

are nut into effect i=, ,ediately, the ?iiblic reace, health, and safety
of the citizens of Little Dock will be adversely affected; therefore,
n er;er •enc�, is h.erebYr declareu to exist, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passal-e and approval.
