BE IT CUIiINID BY THE CITY COMNICIL OF THE CITY OF LIT`T'LE ROCK, kLIKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The position of Heavy Equipment Operator
is hereby created in the Street Division of the Public ;forks Department
of the City of Little Rock. The salary for such position shall not exceed
the sum of t"190.00 per month, and is hereby fixed according to the
following sliding scale:
Salary for first six months of e: ployment, ',':175.00 er month
Salary at end of six months, `;;182.0 per month
Salary at the end of twelve months, x'190.00 per month.
SECTION 2. The person chosen to fill the position
created herein shall be selected by the Civil Service Commission in the
manner provided by law, and shall have such qualifications as may be deemed
appropriate for such position.
SECTION 3• The 1949 salary for such position shall be
taken from the operating expense as set out in the budget.
SECTION 4• All ordinances and _parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
