AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CURB AND GUTTER DISTRICT NO. 578
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of t*o- thirds in
assessed value of the property located within the territory here-
inafter described have filed a petition praying that a curb and
gutter district be established for the purpose hereinafter set out.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by
two - thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property within
said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a curb and gutter
district embracing the following property; Commencing at the inter-
section of West 11th Street with Washington Avenue, thence West on
West 11th Street to its intersection with Monroe Avenue and embracing
the real property extending for a distance of 150 feet on each side
Of West 11th Street between Washington Avenue and Monroe Avenue in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the purpose of draining,
curbing, and guttering West 11th Street from its intersection with
Washington Avenue to its intersection with Monroe Avenue in such a
manner and with such material as the Board of Improvement or Com-
missioners of the said district hereinafter to be appointed may deem
for the best interest of said district.
Said district shall be known as Curb and Gutter District No.
578; and F. P. Medlock, William E. Terry, and Murl T. Downing are
hereby named commissioners, who shall compose the Board of Improve-
ment for said district.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
