ORDINANCE NO. 7965
AN OMINANCE ADJUSTING THE SALARIES OF THE CITY
COLLECTOR, DIRECTOR OF SANITATION, AND THE CITY
ELECTRICIAN, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
'FHEREAS,
The offices of the City Collector, Director of Sanitation, and
City Electrician are now being held by competent individuals who
could command higher salaries than they are now receiving for
services performed for the City of Little Rock in private employ-
ment, and
WHERL
It is the desire of the City of Little Rock to pay comparable
salaries to its employees as are paid to employees in private
endeavor who perform comparable work,
NOVI THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this
ordinance the salary of the City Collector and the City Electrician
shall be in the sum of $400.00 per month. The salary of the
Director of Sanitation shall be in the sum of $375.00 per month.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of
this ordinance are put into effect immediately the peace, health,
and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely
affected, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
