AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE RD40VAL OF A DRIVEWAY IlMEDIATELY EAST
OF IRE PROPERTY KNOWN AS "700 BRQiMAY Ste, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,"
and the placing of a curb and for other purposes:
WHEREASv a petition has been daly filed wherefrom it appears that
for many years a driveway has been in existeade but that the use of the premises
for which it was originally d8si$Msd had been Changed so that the driveway is

effect of widening Broadway Street outlining the present location of said
driveway with a curb the same height of the present curb along the west line
of Broadway Street,
NOW, THEREFORE, M IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Little Ronk, Arkansas=
SECTION 1. The occupants of the premises known as 700 Broadway Street
CV are hereby authorized to remove the driveway immediately east of the said premises

and pave the area from which it is removed to be a ext nsion of Broadway Street

proper, and to outline its present location with a curb of the same heightias

i resent�ly exists along the west side of Broadway Street in the 700 block, all
of said work to be done without expense to the City of Little Rock. a x
SECTION 2. The City Engineer of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized and directed to issue the appropriate permits for the aforesaid work.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, at the completion of the aforesaid work Broadway
Street will be substantially widened; -end the parking area thereon made larger
without detriment to traffic on Broadway Street which will be to the immediate
benefit of the public generally, and
WHEREAS, the immediate operation of the provisions of this Ordinance
is necessary to provide such relief and sa*iobeing necessary for the benefit of
tYe public health,, peace,. and safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the
City of Little Rock,
NOW, THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passags.
