All ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF CLERK - STENOGRAPHER
IN THE MAYORIS OFFICE, PROVIDING FOR THE SALARY THEREOF,
FOR THE SELECTION BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMR?ISSION, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created in the Office of the
Mayor the position of Clerk -Steno er, in addition to the
other positions heretofore created n such office.
SECTION 2. The person who fi'1y14a such position shall be
selected by the Civil Service Commislion in the manner now
salary of $161.26 monthly.

SECTION 3. The person who shall be chosen to fill said
position shall perform such duties as may be directed by the
Mayor.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless °the provisions

and safety bf the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely
affected; therefore an emergency is hereby- declared to exist
