SECTION 1. Four (4) additional positions of Building Maintenance

SECTION 2. Such employees shall be"uunder the direct control and
supervision of the City Engineer and shall perform such zaork and do such
duties as is directed by the City Engineer not inconsistent with the terms
and provisions of this ordinance. In event the City Engineer finds it
unnecessary to fill all four (4) positions created by this Ordinance, he is
empowered to fill on].,v as many positions as is necessary to complete the
contemplated work, after such persons have been duly certified by the Civil
Service Co- mussion.
SECTION 3. IL11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here—
Guth are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put
into effect immediately, the public peace, health and safety of the citizens
of Little Rock will be adversely affected, therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
