AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR AND PURCHASE CERTAIN ITEMS
FOR USE IN THE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
FIXING THE AMOUNT THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IS'ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY CP LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise, take bids for, and purchase the following items
for use in the Electric Department of the City of Little Rock:
(1) Two (2) overhead traffic lights and controls therefor to be in-
stalled at the intersections of 5th and Gaines and Asher Avenue
and Fair Park Boulevard. The cost of these items shall not ex-
ceed the sum of $1,100.00.
(2) Two (2) traffic blinker warning lights to be installed at the
proper approaches to Asher Avenuoand Fair Park Boulevard in-
tersection, not to exceed the sum of $300.00.
(3) Two (2) double obstruction lights, together with the necessary
fittings, not to exceed the sum of $300.00.
(4) Fifty (50) street light luminaires, together with the necessary
brackets, insulators and cable, not to exceed the sum of 42,500.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
