AN ORDINANCE£ APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) FOR THE PURPOSE OF SEAL COATING 100 BLOCKS OF PAVEMENT IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IN THE SECOND, THIRD, AND FOURTH WARDS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, There are many asphalt streets in the second, third, and fourth Wards in the City of Little Rock which are urgently in need of a seal coating in order to preserve the pavement and adequately maintain such streets, and � The City of Little Rock has seal coated approximately 200 blocks in city parks and the fifth ward and the money appropriated fad such work is nearly exhausted, NOW THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the Agt,6 Road fund of the City of Little Rock the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($100000.00) for the purpose of seal coating streets in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th wards of the City of Little Rock. SECTION 2. The proper city officials are hereby directed to take such steps and execute such instruments as may be necessary in order to carry out the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affect- ed; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
