ORDINANCE NO. 8180
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF HEALTH
TO PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERN-
ING THE OPERATION AND INSPECTION OF PRIVATE PREMISES,
RESTAURANTS, GROCERY STORES, SEPTIC TANKS, TRAILER
AND TOURIST COURTS, ti "ITHIN ONE MILE OF THE
CITY LIMITS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTIE
RACK,. ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Health of the City of
Little Rock shall have the power and are hereby author -
ized and directed to promulgate and enforce rules and
regulations providing for the operation and inspection
rjvate premises,
op grocery stores, restaurants, trailer and tourist
courts, and septic tanks within one mile of the City
limits.
SLCTION 2. It is the express intent and purpose
of this ordinance not to limit any powers previously
conferred upon the Board of Health but to clarify same.
SECTION 3. Unless the provisions of this ordin-
ance are put into effect immediately, the peace, health,
and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be ad-
versely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
