WHEREAS , The City of Little Rock, pursuant to the authority of Resolution No. 1837, and in cooperation with the State Highway Department and Pulaski County, awarded a contract for the construction of the Eat Roosevelt Road extension, and TEEREAS , In order that the work order might be issued and the construction work started, the City of Little Rock mint deposit with the State Highway Department its share of the construction costs, N O,i'q ThE R EF ORE , BE IT OF.DATNED BY ThE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF LIT " -'LE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTIOTT 1. There is hereby appropriated f ror:: the Road and /or Auto Fund of the City of Little Rock the sum of $4,474.002 payable to the Arkansas State Highway Department, to pay for the City's share of the cost of constructing the Vast Roosevelt Road exten- sion. SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant payable to the Arkansas State Highvvay Department in the amount provided in Section 1 hereof. SECTIOT? 6. Ordinance No. 8208 is hereby repealed in its entirety. SECTIOT? 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affect- ed; therefore, an err.ergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pass- age and approval.
