AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7888 BY DELETING POR-
TIONS OF SECTIONS 4507, AND 4801, AND MAKING SAME CONFORM
TO PROVISIONS CF ORDINANCE NO. 7444 INSOFAR AS PRIVILEGE-
LICENSES ARE CONCERNED, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That portion of Section 4507 of Ordinance No.
7888 reading: "until such persons shall have secured from the
building inspector a license to conduct such business, and upon
payment of a license fee of $10.00", is hereby amended to read:
"until such persons shall have secured from the City Engineer a
license to conduct such business, and paid to the City Collector
the annual privilege tax as provided by Ordinance No. 7444."
SECTION 2. That portion of Section 4801 of Ordinance 7888
reading: "and every such person, before engaging in such occupa-
tion, shall obtain an annual license therefor, the fee for which
shall be the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00)00 is hereby amended
to read: "and every such person, before engaging in such occupa-
tion, shall obtain a license and pay the annual privilege tax as
provided by Ordinance No. 7444."
SECTION 3. That Section 4706 of Ordinance No. 7888 is here-
by amended by adding the following:
The license required by this section shall not apply to per-
sons, firms, or corporations erecting signs for the sale of their
own products where such signs are erected without compensation.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordim nee shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
