AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR, AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND ENGINEERING WORK NECESSARY IN BUILDING A ROAD IN GILLAM
PARK FROM THE SWIMMING POOL WEST TO NEW STATE HIGHWAY 65, AND
DEVELOPING PLAYGROUND AND OTHER FACILITIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise, take bids for, and award a
contract for the construction and engineering work necessary in
building a road in Gillam Park from the swimming pool west to
New State Highway 65 and developing playground and other facilities,
The cost of such construction and engineering work shall be paid
out of the Negro Park Fund.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
