AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS202 AND 1009 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 7888, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE LITTLE ROCK BUILDING CODE,
AND FOR OTHER PURROSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 202, paragraph 9 of Ordinance
Number 7888 be and the same is amended to read as follows:
When the Building Inspector issues the permit he shall
endorse in writing or stamp both sets of plans and
specifications "Approved ". One such approved set of
plans and specifications shall be retained by the
Building Inspector as a public record during the con-
struction period or for six (6) months, which ever
time shall be the longer, and one such approved set
of plans and specifications shall be returned to the
applicant, which set shall be kept on such building or
work at all times during which the work authorized
thereby is in progress and shall be open to inspection
by public officials. Such approved plans and specifica-
tions shall not be changed, modified or altered without
permission from the Building Inspector.
SECTION 2. That Section 1009 (a) of Ordinance Number
7888 be and the same is hereby amended by adding the follow-
ing after the first paragraph:
Type IV construction will be permitted outside of Fire
Zones I and II under the following conditions:
(1) One story only.
(2) Maximum area of 1500 square feet.
(3) Located at least 10 feet from interior
lot lines.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
