HomeMy WebLinkAbout8331ORDINANCE NO. 8331 AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THE ALLEY NOW LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 6, 7, and 8 AND LOTS 3, k, AND 5, BLOCK 11, PULASKI HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 5th day of & S. 1950, requesting the City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the alley lying between said Lots 6, 7, and 8 and Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 11, Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley hereinbef ore described was platted as an alley, but has never been actually used by the Public for a period of more than five years prior to the filing of the Petition, and all requirements of the law having been.complied with, and all owners of the property within the Block, and who have any interest in the matter, have indicated their approval of abandoning the alley between the above described Lots; and WHEREAS, it appears that the Public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public, in and to the alley lying between Lots 6, 7, and 8, Block 11, Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, and Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 11, Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock. Said platted but unused alley being 20 feet wide and 150 feet deep. L, Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed records of the County. Section 3.
