AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDONZHAT PORTION OF THE
ALLEY LYING BETWEEN STEMPEL'S ADDITION AND REUTLINGERIS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE FOCK, ARKANSAS, BOUNDED
ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LAFAYETTE STREET
AND ON THE SOUTH BY AN EXTENSIvN OF THE SOUTH LINE OF
LOT SIX, ST&tPELIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 5th day of June , 1950, asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the alley as
designated on the plat of Stempel's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, now appearing in Plat Book 2, page 9, and lying between Stempel's
Addition And Reutlinger's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
bounded on the north by the sout# boundary of Lafayette Street and on the
south by • an extension of the south line of Lot Six, Stempel's Addition, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertainsi that the portion of the
alley, hereinabove described was heretofore dedicated to the Public use,
and has not been used by the public generally for a period of at least five
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; and that all the owners of
the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed
with the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that the
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon -
mento f such portion of the said alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OfiDEINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSASs
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to that portion of the alley designated as follows;
That portion of the alley running north and south between
Stempel's Addition and Reutlinger's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, bounded on the north by the south
boundary of Lafayette Street and on the south by an extension
of the south line of Lot Six, Stempel's Addition.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly :certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
