AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THAT PORTION OF
THE SMT RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN THE MIDDLE OF
STEMPELIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKS
ANSAS, WHICH IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY AN EXTENSION
OF THE NORTH BOUNDARY OF LOTS FIVE AND EIGHT AND ON
THE SOUTH BY THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LOTS SEVEN AND
SIR IN STEMPEL'S ADDITION AND BEING BOUNDED ON THE
WEST BY LOTS SEVEN AND EIGHT, AND ON THE EAST BY
SAID LOTS FIVE AND SIR OF STEMPEL'S ADDITION; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Couneil of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 5th day of June , 1950, asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the -street
running north and south in the middle of Stempel's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is bounded on the north by an extension
of the north boundary of Lots Five and Eight and on the south by the
South boundary of Lots Seven and Six in Stempel's Addition and being
bounded on the ]test by Lots Seven and Eight, and on the East by said
Lots Five and Six of Stempel's Addition, and,
IYHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of the
stree;,, here inabove described, as heretofore dedioted to the Public use,
and has not been used by the public generally for a period of at least
five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the owners of
the property abutting upon the portion of the strwt to be vacated have
filed with the Council theirwritten consent to such abandonment; and that
the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon-
ment of such portion of the said stMimt.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION_l. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its right, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to that portion cf the dxee,t designated as follows s
That portion of the street running north and south in
the middle of Stempel's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, which is bounded on the north by an
extension of the north boundary of Lots Five and Eight
and on the south by the south boundary of Lots Seven and
Six in Stempel's Addition and being bounded on the west
by lots Seven and Eight, and on the east by said Lots
Five and Six of Stempel's Addition.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinanc -e duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
