AND PARALLEL TO LEWIS AND ELM STREETS AND LOCATED IMMEDIATELY EAST AND ADJACENT
TO LOTS ONE (1) AND SIXTEEN (16), BLOCK ONE (1), RIFFEL AND HOLDER'S ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 26th day of June, 1950, asking the City Council
to vacate and abandon all of the alley located immddiately East and adjacent to
Lets One (1) and Sixteen (16), Block One (1), Riffel and Holder *s Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, beginning with the South line of West 28th
Street and running South 279 feet to the North line of West 29th Street; and,
AREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has, at
the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be
heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley hereinabove described
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use, and has not been used by the
public generally for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing
of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting the alley to be
vacated have filed with the Council written consent to such abandonment; and
that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the
abandonment of said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to the alley designated 0 follows:
"All of the alley running North and South between and parallel:.
to Lewis and Elm Streets beginning at the South line of West
Twenty- eighth (28th) Street and running South Two Hundred Seventy -
nine (279) feet to the North line of West Twenty -ninth (28th)
Street, and located immediately East and adjacent to Lots One (1)
and Sixteen (16), Block One (1), Riffel and Holder 's Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and that part of the East -Vest
alley heretofore closed under Ordinance No. 7629 located between
said Lots One (1) and Sixteen (16); the plat of said block and
Addition appearing of record in Plat Book 1, at Page 23, in the
Offiee of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County, and
located Rest of and adjacent to property described as follows,
to -wit:
"Pt. NWJ NWJ Sec. 17 -1N -12 W, described as: Begin at inter -
section of North line Asher Ave. and E line of NW4 Nff Sec.17,•
thence N along E line said NWJ NW`J 140.3 ft. to point of
beginning; thence N along E line said NWti NWJ 80.7 ft; thence
Wily 167.5 ft. to a point which is 299 ft. N of North line
Asher Ave; thence S 299 ft. to a point on N line Asher Ave.

which point is 184.7 ft. M fly along N line Asher Ave. from
intersection of N line Asher Ave. and E line NW I*,- thence
NEfly along N line Asher Ave, 51,6 ft; thence N parallel E
line NW4 Wj 198.4 ft; thence E 120 ft, to point of beginning
in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,"
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the deed records of the county.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
