AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF' FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS TO PAY THF: CITY'S SHARE OF' THE COST OF
OPERATING THP, CIVILIAN GUIDANCE AGENCY IN COOPF,RA-
TION ti' 'ITH THE COD I�IUNITY CF�ST, THE CHAMBER OF COY -
IVERCE, AND PULASKI COUNTY.
"ir1TEREAS, during the present world situation many citizens of
the City of Little Rock are being called into service with the
armed forces of the United States who need adequate counselling
in matters pertaining to personal-and business affairs, and
WHEREAS, at a recent meeting of representatives of the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Community Chest, and the Chamber
of Comr:erce, it was determined that until a permanent organiza-
tion could be established, a temporary guidance agency should
be created, and
WHEREAS, it was determined at the said meeting that the cost
for the operation of such an agency for a term of three months
would be x;2;000.00, and that each would pay its pro -rata share,
theref ore ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI`T'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTIOT? 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum
of Five Hundred Dollars 0500.00) from the General Fund of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to be paid to the Civilian
Guidance Agency -, as the city's share in the cost of the opera-
tion of said agency for a period of three months.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and / /or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
