ORDINANCE NO. 8551
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS, TO BE PAID TO
THE AIRPORT COMMISSION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL a' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS: .
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the sum of Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000) to be paid to the Little Rock Municipal
Airport Commission as an advance to begin the operation of the
airport by said Commission, which said advance is to be returned
to the City not later than December 1, 1951.
SECTION 2. That the said Airport Commission is without
funds with which to operate the municipal airport, and unless
the provisions of this ordinance are placed into effect imme-
diately the health and safety of the citizens of the city will
be adversely affected, therefore an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this ordinance will become effective from and
after its passage and approval.
