AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6703,
PASSED NOVEMBER 41 1944 TO ESTABLISH THE SALARY OF THE PERSONNEL
DIRECTOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 6703 be amended
to read as follows:
"The person chosen to fill the position of Personnel
Director shall receive a salary of $300.00 per month, which salary
may be increased by the majority vote of the Civil Service Commission
and the Mayor to an amount not to exceed $400.00 per month. In the
event that a salary increase is made, the Civil Service Commission
shall certify the fact of such increase to the City Clerk before
said increase shall be effecttve."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this
ordinance are put into effect immediately the peace, health and safety
of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affected, therefore,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
