AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 78889 KNOWN AS THE
BUILDING CODE ORDINANCE, TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND
OPERATION OF CONCRETE PARKING DECKS WITHOUT CONSTRUCTING
SnIMUM SYSTEMS OR INTERIOR STANDPIPES; AND FOR OTHER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That Sections 3801 -3804 of Ordinance No.
7888, as amended by Ordinance No. 8184, known as the
Building Code Ordinance which require interior standpipes
and sprinkler systems in certain classes and types of
buildings are unnecessary and superfluous in parking
decks of concrete and steel construction.
Section 2. That Sections 3801, 3802, 3803 and 3804
of Ordinance No. 7888, as amended by Ordinance No. 8184,
are hereby amended so as to be inapplicable to the con-
struction and operation of concrete parking decks, in
particular that concrete parking deck located at 112
North Louisiana Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
