An Ordinance Correcting the Property Lines in Allsopp Park and
Authorizing and Directing the Mayor and City Clerk to
Execute a Deed to the Trustees of Pulaski Heights
Baptist Church.
WHEREAS, on September 17, 1927, Pulaski Heights Land
Company did execute and deliver unto the City of Little Rock a
certain warranty deed conveying to the City of Little Rock certain
lands in the Southwest Quarter (SW-) of Section Thirty -two (32),
Township Two (2) North, Range Twelve (12) West, and other lands
known as "Allsopp Park ", which said deed is of record in Book 190
at page 591 of the Deed Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and,

Part of the Southeast Quarter (SEu) of the Southwest
Quarter (SWu) of Section Thirty -two (32), Township Two
(2) North, Range Twelve (12) West, in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point 152 feet.North and 170 feet West
of the intersection of the West line of Cedar Street and the
North line of Kavanaugh Boulevard in the City of Little
Rock; thence North 10.5 feet; thence North 81 degrees
26 minutes West 65 feet; thence South 20.2 feet; thence
East 64.3 feet to the point of beginning;
and said Church and its predecessors in title had held open, continuous,
notorious and adverse possession of said lands for more than thirteen
years prior thereto; and,
WHEREAS, due to said adverse possession, the City of Little
Rock acquired no interest in and to that portion of the Southwest
Quarter (SW.) of Section Thirty -two (32), Township Two (2) North,
., Nge Twelve (12) West, as hereinabove described by.metes and bounds; ;r
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, disclaims
any interest in and to the following described lands, to -wit:
Part of the Southeast Quarter (SEj) of the Southwest Quarter
(SW1) of Section Thirty -two (32), Township Two (2) North,
Range Twelve (12) West, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a
point 152 feet North and 170 feet West of the intersection
of the West line of Cedar Street and the North line of
Kavanaugh Boulevard, in the City of Little Rock; thence
North 10.5 feet; thence North 81 degrees 26 minutes West
65 feet; thence South 20.2 feet; thence East 64.3 feet
to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorizedt
m,red and directed to execute a quitclaim deed in the name and behalf
- o �Cfty of Little Rock to Dr. G. D. Thompson, H. B. Chrisp, W. S.
Rogers, W. F. Nunnally, and Thomas S. Vise, as Trustees for Pulaski
Heights Baptist Church, and their successors in trust, quitclaiming
unto the said Trustees the lands specifically described in Section 1
hereof.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and that this
ordinance shall take: - effect and be in force from and after its publi-
cation.
