ORDINANCE NO. 8646.
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING A STRIP
OF GROU14D TWENTY FEET IN WIDTH EAST AND WEST
AND ONE HUNDREID FIFTY FEET LONG NORTH AND SOUTH
BOUND ON THE EAST BY LOTS 1, 2, and 3, AND ON
THE WEST BY Li_�T 15 OF BLOCK 2 OF DARRAGEIS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF' LITTLE ROOK; AND A
STRIP OF GROUND FIFTEEN FEET WIDE NORTH AND
SOUTH INgEDIATELY NORTH OF LOTS 8, 9 and 10,
BLOCK 2 OF DARRAGH'S ADDITION TO TAE CITY OF
LITTLrl ROCK.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City "ouncil
of the pity of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 9th day of `,pril, 1951,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon an alley shown on the
plat of Darragh's Addition to the City of Little hock now appearing
of record in Plat Book No. 1 at Page 83 in the Office of the Record-
er in and for Pulaski County, Arkansas, described as follows:
A strip of ground 20 feet in width East and West
and 150 feet long North and South bound on the
East by Lots 1, 2 and 3 and on the west by Lot 15
of Block 2 of Darragh's Addition to the City of
Little Rock; and a strip of ground 15 feet wide
North and South immediately North of Lots 8, 9 and
10, Block 2 of Darragh's Addition to the City of
Little 'lock.
WHEREAS, after due notice, as required by law, the Uouncil
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the said land above described has heretofore been dedicated to
the public use as an alley; that the same has not actually been used
by the public generally for a period of at least five years prior
to filing of petition for its abandonment; that the owners of all
property abutting upon said alley to be abandoned and vacated have
filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment
and vacation by signing said petition, the sole owner of such
abutting property being Standard Ice Company of Arkansas; and that
the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by

the abandonment and vacation of said alley.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY Of LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little hock, Arkansas, does hereby
release, vacate and abandon all its rights, together with the rights
of the public generally, in and to the alley shown in the plat of
Darraghts Addition to the City of Little "ock now being of record in
Plat Book ho. 1 at Page 83 in the Office of the Recorder in and for
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described and designated
as follows:
A strip of ground 20 feet in width East and West
and 150 feet long North and South bound on the
East by Lots 1, 2 and 3 and on the West by Lot 15
of Block 2 of -Darraghts Addition to the Gity of
Little Hock; and a strip of ground 15 feet wide
North and South immediately North of Lots 8, 9
and 10, Block 2 of Darraghts Addition to the City
of Little Rock.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
Ith( City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder in and
for Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of
said County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
