ORDINANCE No. 87 �7
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN EASEMENT FOR THE INSTAL-
LATION OF A SEWER TO ARKANSAS MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS,
INC. FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF NAZARETH LITERARY
AND BENEVOLENT INSTITUTION, INC.-,ACROSS WAR MEMORIAL
PARK.
WHEREAS, the Nazareth Literary and Benevolent Instituti
IInc.,is having constructed a large hospital to be operated as St.
Vincents Infirmary, which will be highly beneficial to the people
of the City of Little Rock;
WHEREAS, Arkansas Mechanical Contractors, Inc.,are the
plumbing contractors for said construction;
WHEREAS, in the erection of said hospital it is neces-
sary to connect a sewer with the sewer trunk line in War Memorial
Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1, The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, does
Ihereby grant to Arkansas Mechanical Contractors, Inc.,for the use
and benefit of Nazareth Literary and Benevolent Institution, Inc.,
an easement for the purpose of installing a sewer line across the
following described part of War Memorial Park;
Beginning at a point approximately 600 feet South
of the intersection of Taylor and Markham Streets,
and entering from Taylor Street, run in a South-
easterly direction approximately 900 feet to con-
nect with the existing trunk line sewer in War
Memorial Park.
SECTION 2. The grant made in Section 1, is on the expreos
condition that Arkansas Mechanical Contractors, Inc.,will construct
said sewer line in such a manner as to create a minimum of ineonv
Ito the use by the public of War Memorial Park; and will with all
reasonable promptness.as the work is accomplished, restore the grade
and surface of that part of War Memorial Park that may be damaged
Ito its original condition.
SECTION 3. The acceptance of the grant made herein,
shall obligate Arkansas Mechanical Contractors, Inc.,to fully

perform the condition created in Section 2.
SECTION 4. The Director of Parks and Recreation for
the City of Little Rock, Arkansaslis hereby directed and empowered
to supervise and direct the manner in which all damage to War
(Memorial Park is to be restored.
SECTION 5. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified
l by the City clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
lin and for Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed
Records of said County.
SECTION 6. It being necessary to further the health
land well being of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, this ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
