ORDIN,LAICE NO. 8739 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSINu THE VALUE OF BEiVEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF .EACH OF T i.E SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND -WITHIN STREET IMPROVaIEN'T DISTRICT NO. 591 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. -WHEREAS , a two - thirds majority in value of the property holders sW­property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated,in, Street Improvement District No. 591 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and paving in the manner and of the materials that the Commissioners for the said District shall deem for the best interest of the District, the following described streets: Film-ore Street: From the south line of the pavement on West 12tH. Street south to the south line of West 16th Street. Pierce Street: From the sout'�-i line of the pavement on West 12th Street south to the south line of West 16th Street. have petitioned th-- City Council of the City of Little Rock for the con- struction of said improvements, and that the costs thereof shall be assessed upon the real property in said District according to the benefits received; and WHEREAS, said benefits received from each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said District eivals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $40,000.00 to be assessed and charged upon the real property of the District according to the benefits received; and the assessed benefits amount to $73,610.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the said several blocks, lots, and parcels of real property in said Street Improvement District No. 591 be and they are hereby assessed according to Lhe assessment list as the same nOW remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and that the -,lame may be annually readjusted by the Board of -2- Assessors, and that six and two - thirds (6 2/3) per eentum of said assessment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks, lots, and parcels of land shall be collected by the County Collector with the first installment of general taxes becoming due in the year six andw ©- thirds `(�` per cen shall be collected annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until the whole of said local assessment shall have been paid. SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
