RDINANCE NO. 87LLL
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND WEST THROUGH
BLOCK NINE (9), S. J. JOHNSON'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND SEPARATING LOTS ONE (1), TWO (2), THREE
(3), FOUR (4) AND FIVE (5) IN SAID BLOCK FROM LOTS SIX (6),
SEVEN (7), EIGHT (8), NINE (9) AND TEN (10), BLOCK NINE (9),
S. J. JOHNSON'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 10th day of September,
1951, asking the City Council to vacate and,abandon all that
portion of the alley designated on the plat of the S. J. Johnson's
D&Q1
Addition to said city, now appearing of record in Eizt Book A Is
Page 2 Q2 , in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, running East and West in said Block Nine (9), S. J.
Johnson's Addition and separating Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3),
Four (4) and Five (5), from Lots Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8),
Nine (9) and Ten (10);
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedi-
cated to the public use as an alley herein described; has not been
actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the owners of
the property abutting upon the alley to be vacated have filed their
written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such
alley;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ,LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION le The City of Little Rock , Arkansas hereby releases,
vaeates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
public generally, in and to the alley described as follows:
The alley running East and West in Block Nine (9), S:.
J. Johnson's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas and separating Lots One (1)9 Two (2), Three
(3), Four (4) and Five (5) in said Block Nine (9) from
Lots Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8), Nine (9) and Ten
(10) in said Block Nine (9), S. J. Johnson's Addition.
SECTION 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas in the deed records of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
