AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8739 OF THE ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE DOCK TO INCREASE THE ANNUAL LEVY TO
BE COLLECTED IN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 591
'WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Street Improvement District No. 591 of the
City of Little Rock have contracted for the sale of the bonds of the District to
mature over a period of ten years instead of fifteen years, thereby saving'to the
District a great amount of interest; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8739 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock

passed on the 1.Oth day of September, 1951, approved the assessment of benefits
as assessed by the assessors of the District and levied thereon annually six
and two- thirds per centum; and
14HEREAS, the said levy of six and two - thirds per centum is based upon a
bond issue to mature over a period of fifteen years; and
'WHEREAS, in order to service the bonds of the District to mature over a
period of ten years, it is necessary to increase the annual levy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIC CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 8739 of the Ordinances of the
City of Little Rock be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots, and parcels of
real property in said Street Improvement District No. 591 be and
they are hereby assessed according to the assessment list as the
same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, and that the same may be annually readjusted
by the Board of Assessors, and that eight (8) per centum of said
assessment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks, lots,
and parcels of land shall be collected by the County Collector with
the first installment of general taxes becoming due in the year
1952 and eight (8) per centum shall be collected annually there-
after with the first installment of general taxes until the whole
of said local assessment shall have been paid."
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
