HomeMy WebLinkAbout8749i * ° NANCE No. 8749 t AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BY THE PULASKI COUNTY COURT BY ITS ORDER OF AUGUST 299 1951; MAKING SAID TERRITORY A PART OF THE FIFTH WARD, AND FOR -OTHER PURPOSES. Whereas, the Pulaski County Court by its order dated the U y of August, 1951, annexed to the City of Little Rock, certain territory including Queen Manor and other lands. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITHE ROCK, ARKAW AS: SECTION 1. That the territory annexed to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, by the Pulaski County Court on the 29th day of August, 1951, being more fully described as follows: All of the West Half (Wj ) of Section Twenty -five ( 25) , Townshi Two ( 2 ) North, Range Thirteen (13T West, lying North of Highway No. 10, not heretofore annexed to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (which includes in addition acreage all of Queen Manor Addition and Lots 351 to 433, inclusive, of Kingwood Place Addition) except a strip of land 175 feet in width lying along the North side of Highway No. 10, is hereby accepted, annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and is hereby mde a part of the 5th Ward of said City. ._ SECTION 20'' That all the streets and roads heretofore dedicated and shown in the respective plats and bills of assurance now on file in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder are hereby accepted by the City. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. In order that the citizens in the area covered by this ordinance may be given adequate fire and police protection, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
