ORDINANCE NO. 8764
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 5420 OF THE
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE.CITY.OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 5420 of the Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
uSLCTION 8. USE REGULATIONS. UK* HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT"
In the nK» Heavy Industrial ]District any building or land may be
used for any purpose whatsoever not in conflict with any ordinance
of the City of Little Rock regulating nuisances; provided, however,
that no building or occupancy permit shall be issued for any of
the following uses until and unless the location of such use shall
have been approved by the Board of Adjustment, or until and unless
the location of such use shall be in conformity with the recommen-
dations of the National Board of Fire Underwriters and of the
Factory Insurance Association, in which event an affidavit of
such compliance shall be filed with the Board of Adjustment.

(1) Acid manufacture.
(2) Cement, lime, gypsum or plaster of pares manufacture.
(3) Distillation of bones.
(4) Explosives manufacture or storage.
(5) Fat rendering.
(6) Fertilizer manufacture.

Garbage, offal or dead animal reduction or dumping.
Gas manufacture. '
Glue manufacture.
Petroleum or its products, refining of.
Smelting of tin, copper, zinc, or iron ores.
Stock yards or slaughter of animals.
Tannery.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage. ,
