AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 8656, ABOLISHING
THE POSITION OF LICENSE INSPECTOR IN THE CITY COLLECTORtS OFFICE,
TRANSFERRING THE DUTIES THEREOF TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the position of Automobile License
Inspector in the City Collector's office be and it is hereby
abolished and Section 7 of Ordinance No. 8656 is hereby amended
.by deleting all reference to the position of License Inspector.
SECTION 2. That the duties performed by the License
Inspector in the City Collector's office are hereby transferred
to the Police Department. That hereafter the Police Department
shall be responsible for apprehending owners of automobiles within
the City who have been delinquent in purchasing their City
automobile licenses.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
