AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8656 BY CREATING
ONE ADDITIONAL POSITION OF DISTRICT CHIEF IN THE
LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That one additional position pf District
Chief in the Little Rock Fire Depar ent is, hereby created by
amending Section 10 of Ordinance No. 8656 by�striking'out the
numeral 4 opposite Range 20 -U and the job classification of-
District Chief and substituting therefor"thq numeral 5.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby,repealed, and unless the provi-
sions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately the
public peace, health and safety .of the citizens of Little Rock
will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby
,. ... declared to exist, and this. ordinance shall be infuLl fq ,Rc apd
effect from and after its passage and approval.
