AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TAM ZONES ALONGSIDE CERTAIN
DESIGNATED FIRE PLUGS, PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF OPERA-
TION OF SAID "JONES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY ThE CITY COUINCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That taxi zones are hereby established in front
of and alongside the following designated fire plugs:
1. North side of Markham Street between Ashley and Conway
Streets.
2. North side of Markhcn Street between Main and Louisiana
Streets.
3. East side of Main Street between Markham aad Second Streets.
4. Nast side of Main Street between Second and- Third Streets.
5. East side of Main Street between Third and Fourth Strc ;ets.
6. East side of Main Street between Fourth Street and
Capitol Avenue.
7. East side of Main Street between Capitol Avenue and
Sixth Street.
8. East side of Mein Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets.
9. North side of Fourth Street !4e--.t at the alley between
Main and Louisiana Streets.
SECTION 2. That the aforesaid established taxi zones may
be used by any end all cab companies operating under licenses held
from the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. That immediately upon an alarm being sounded
for the district in which said fire plug is located, such cabs as are
stationed at such location shall move out from such location and
leave the vicinity thereof.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and since the traffic of Little
Rock is constantly becoming more and more congested and it is neces-
sary that all r elief possible be had from such congestion, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage and approval.
