HomeMy WebLinkAbout8896ORDINANCE N0. 8896 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING CRIMINAL STATUTES OF THE SATE OF ARKANSAS INTO THE LAW OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BY REFERENCE, DEFINING THE PROCEDURE THEREFOR AND DECLARING THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock hereby adopts the criminal laws and criminal procedure of the State of Arkansas, as the laws and /or ordinances and procedure to be used by the City of Little Rock in its law enforcement. Be it further ordained that the penalties prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Arkansas for violations of its laws shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be,the penalties for law violations within the corporate limits of the City of Little Rock. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
