ORDINANCE NO. 8927 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE RENTING OF OR OCCUPANCY z OF ANY HOUSE 1dhICH IS AT PRESENT BEING CONDEMNED OR W_KICH HAS BEEN CONDEMNED IN A SUIT BROUGHT BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND WHICH HAS BEEN VIXATED BY THE RESIDENTS OF SAID PROPERTY AFTER THE BRINGING OF SUCH SUIT OR CONDEMNATION, PROVIDING FOR A SIGN TO BE PLACED THEREON BY THE CHIEF SANITARIAN OF THE LITTLE ROCK PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT 14ARNING AGAINST THE - OCCUPANCY OF SUCH HOUSE, PROVIDING A FINE OF TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS (25.00) FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the reoccupancy of houses which have been condemned or which are under condemnation proceedings by the City of Little Rock, which have been vacated by the occupant therein at the time suit was brought, is hereby prohibited. SECTION 2. That the penalty for renting of said property by the owner thereof shall be Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00). That the penalty for occupying said house after it has been vacated by the tenant therein at the time of the filing of the condemnation suit shall be Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00). That each separate day of the occupancy of such house shall be considered a new and separate offense. SECTION 3. That upon the vacating of such premises as are condemned or under condemnation proceedings by the tenant occupying said housing accommodation at the time suit is filed, a sign shall be posted upon said property, setting forth that it has been condemned or is under condemnation,proceedings and has been Vacated as a result of such proceedings and warning any person or persons against collecting rent for said housing accommodations or any new persons from reoccupying said property as tenants. That said sign shall further state that there will be a penalty of Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00) to tear down said sign. Z F. A -2- f SECTION 4. That said sign shall be posted by or I under the direction of the Chief Sanitarian of the Health Department of the City of Little Rock. SECTION 5.
