AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CAPITOL
TRANSIT COMPANY TO CHANGE AND EXTEND THE CAMMACK
VILLAGE BUS LINE TO INCLUDE KINGWOOD PLACE AND QUEEN
FOR ADDITIONS, AMENDING .ALL . ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS., the present r out a of the Cammack Village bus
line travels North on Hayes Street on the out trip, and returns South
on Hayes Street on the return trip, and
WHEREAS, there are several hundreds of residents in the
Kingwood Place, Queen Manor, and Westover Hills Additions who are
without adequate transportation facilities, and
WHEREAS, the present Cammack Village line can be changed
and extended to afford to these residents, transportation service
without materially altering the present service.
NOW, TREf?EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Capitol Transit Company is hereby
authorized and directed to change the Cammack Village Bus Line as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Cantrell Road and North
Hayes Street, the buses will travel North on Hayes street
to Kenwood Road; thence West on Kenwood Road to Pine Valley
Road; thence in a Southwesterly direction on Pine Valley
Road to Blackwood Street; thence South on Blackwood Street
to Pine Valley Road; thence East on Pine Valley Road to
McKinley Street; thence South on McKinley Street to Cantrell
Road; thence return to Fifth and Louisiana Streets over the
present route.
t SECTION 2. That Ordinance Nos. 7373, 8319 and all'ordi-
nances in conflict.herewith are hereby amended to conform to the pro-
visions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That in order to provide many citizens of the
city with adequate transportation facilities, an emergency is ber e -
by declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
